By the way brotehr mahmoud that Cartoon effect is developed by me. to be honest with you i have not yet encoutred any tutorial talking about it.

I am going right now to write a tutorial about how to produce it.

Tutorial: Sketch effect 1,2 and 1 MOD

This tutorial is for brother Mahmoud and everyone who is as highly interested as his case.

Sketch Effect: How-to
--------------

1-Desaturate the proginal picture.
2-Duplicate the picture.
3-Apply Filters-->Stylize-->Find edges, on the top layer.
4-To get sketch effect 1 blend the layers down, using the soft light Mode.
5-To get sketch effect 1 hard edged MOD, adjust the output of 4 with the brightness/contrast. Higher contrast with suitable brightness.
6-To get sketch effect 2, use the output in 4 but blend using the screen Mode.

Why Brightness?, is to get rid ofgreyscale pixels we caused by the contrast adjustments.
Why Contrast?, is used to get extra hard edged sketch. But at the same time we may get some greyscale pixels with low black value more visible. That is why we use the broghtness to get them brighter.

PS. This is the best way for producing sketch effect from original pictures.

Cartoon Effect: How-To
--------------

1-Desaturate the original picture.
2-Duplicate the original picture.
3-Filter-->Stylize-->Find edges, of the top layer.
4-Blend layers down using teh mode Overlay.
5-The output is already looking the cartoon way, but we need to stress it up using the Image--

>adjustement-->Brightness/Contrast.
6-On the case of Aish picture i have use the following atrributes levels.
Contrast:+68/Brigthness:+7

The rules of Thumb, the higher the contrast level the more Cartoon look you get. But you will encouter

more grey-scale noise on bright places as the face, to get rid of it, put the brightness at higher

level, such that the noise is disappeard and at the same time the pciture is not too bright what would

make some details vanish.

PS. This is the best way to get the effect is very limited and very effective way.
